 Freedom of science

The freedom of science is a fundamental right that is deeply embedded in our constitution, though it is not always fully assured.

We will discuss with researchers and policymakers why the ability to freely choose research questions is crucial for society, how this freedom can be protected from misuse, and what the consequences are—both for society and for individual researchers—when scientific freedom is threatened.
