Anna Sator (dey/dem) is a research assistant at the Center for Anthropology and Gender Studies at the University of Freiburg. 

Anna Sator studied History, German and English at the University of Freiburg and Trinity College Dublin. Anna Sator was then employed as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the ALU as part of the International Research Training Group Cultural Transfer and 'Cultural Identity' - German-Russian Contacts in a European Context. Dey submitted her dissertation project Gender Constructions in German-language Travelogues about the Soviet Union (1917-1939) in January 2024 and will defend it in October.

Her own research interests lie in gender and intersectionality studies in history, literature and cultural studies, digital humanities and science communication. Anna Sator has been an active member of the working group Feminist Theories since its foundation and, within this framework, deals with possibilities of low-threshold communication of theoretical content. Dey is particularly interested in blended learning formats in the context of university teaching and has taught courses on science fiction, post-apocalypses and currently on feminist horror in recent semesters.
