The “Knowledge Marketplace” invites you to experience structural transformation up close!
Located in the Central German Mining District, at the Marktplatz in Halle an der Saale, approximately 30 companies, organizations, universities, and initiatives involved in the structural transformation will showcase their innovations and new fields of work that drive the transition and the upcoming coal phase-out.
Whether it's groundbreaking research from laboratories or exciting insights into new regional job opportunities, the “Knowledge Marketplace” offers interactive science experiences for all ages, encouraging participation and exploration.
Innovators will present their projects and organizations on an Open Stage every half hour.
Friday, November 1st, is particularly focused on “Seeking Returnees.” The market will serve as a vibrant meeting point for returnees, commuters, and those interested in the diverse career opportunities in the Central German Mining District.
The Structural Change Market is sponsored by the State Chancellery and the Ministry of Culture of Saxony-Anhalt and takes place in cooperation with the Science Cube - Competence Center for Science Communication, the Revierpionieren, the Central German Continuing Education Association, the Saxony-Anhalt South Skilled Workers Alliance, the Federal Employment Agency and the MINT cluster mint4elements.
