In 1927, Walter Gropius designed a new centre for Halle, directly on the banks of the river Saale. The intention was to erect a stadium, a museum and a town hall. But the buildings were never constructed. The economic crisis put a stop to it. Visitors can now ramble through the buildings with the help of augmented and virtual reality.
