Holding a PhD in marine science, he reports on ocean and climate research for print and online media. For his stories, he regularly accompanies researchers on field expeditions. Last year he published his first book "Polarstern - Research in the Ice". With the German icebreaker he has already travelled to both the Arctic and Antarctic.
