Christian Schwanenberger is a senior scientist at DESY and a professor at the University ofHamburg. He is a member of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Geneva and the D0 experiment at the Tevatron Collider in Chicago. His main research topics are elementary particle physics, in particular precision measurements of the properties of the top quark and its electroweak and strong couplings, the interaction between the top quark and the Higgs boson, the search for supersymmetric and other exotic extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics, and the search for dark matter.
