As the director of The Kavli Foundation’s Public Engagement with Science Program, she works to strengthen science’s relationship with society. She leads programs that build the field of public engagement with science, help scientists connect with society around ethical issues surrounding science, and ensure science policy can support a thriving scientific enterprise.
Brooke is passionate about scientists engaging with various publics and empowering professionals who enable scientists to communicate, discuss and explore the social context of their work. Brooke’s expertise and experiences are rooted in science, science communication, public engagement of science, public policy, science journalism and organizational leadership and development.
Brooke, her husband and two daughters, live in Los Angeles, CA.
