Beatrice Lugger is director of the National Institute for Science Communication (NaWik), Germany. She is a science journalist, social media expert and chemist. She worked for almost two decades for numerous print and online media – Politische Ökologie, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Focus, WIRED. She was part of the founding editorial team of netdoktor.de. She built up the platform for blogging researchers ScienceBlogs in Germany. And she managed the social media appearances of international conferences such as the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, the Nobel Week Dialogue and the Heidelberg Laureate Forum. Beatrice Lugger has published various articles on science communication and Science 2.0 topics and is co-responsible for the platform wissenschaftskommunikation.de.
