Dr. Axel Salheiser

Axel Salheiser, Dr. phil., is a sociologist and scientific director of the Institute for Democracy and Civil Society (IDZ) Jena. His research interests include right-wing extremism, ethnocentrism and group-focused enmity. As part of the IDZ's participation in the Research Institute for Social Cohesion (FGZ), Axel Salheiser is the spokesperson for the Jena sub-institute and project manager. Together with Matthias Quent and Christoph Richters, he wrote the non-fiction book “Klimarassismus. Der Kampf der Rechten gegen die ökologische Wende.”, which was published by Piper in 2022.
