Experimental Show with Dr. Andreas Korn-Müller, aka Magic Andy.
Andreas Korn-Müller studied chemistry at the University of Tübingen (Dipl.-Prüfung 9. Sem.) and received his doctorate in 1994 with “summa cum laude” at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried. After two years of post-doctoral research in the HIV high-security laboratory at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, he has been working as a freelance chemist, entertainer, author and “science mediator” since 1997 - and always knows how to get people excited about science and deliver clear explanations. The multiple award-winner tours Germany, Europe and half the world with his brilliant science shows: Bangkok (2010), Abu Dhabi (2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019), Beijing (2019). Dr. Korn-Müller has developed eight different science shows to date, which he performs successfully under the stage name “Magic Andy”, primarily at science festivals for young and old. He has also developed exhibition projects for science museums, for example for the German Museum in Munich (chemistry, pharmacy, electroplating), the German Hygiene Museum in Dresden (genetic engineering) and the Dresden Technical Collections (fire, light, climate). To date, Dr. Korn-Müller has written five (children's) non-fiction books, which have also been translated into Italian, Chinese, Thai, Estonian, Dutch and English, as well as publishing numerous articles in specialist journals.
