Dr. Albrecht Pohlmann is a painting restorer and works as head conservator for the Moritzburg Foundation in Halle (Saale), art museum of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
The Central Restoration Office is responsible for maintaining and restoring the collections, and providing conservational and technical support for exhibitions and individual loans. In addition, the restoration department also takes part in technological examinations of art as part of research projects on holdings or certain artists.
From 1983 to 1988, Albrecht Pohlmann studied painting conservation at the Dresden University of Fine Arts, where he earned his diploma. He then completed his doctorate in art history at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
