SILBERSALZ brings the earth to Halle! From 18.6. to 21.6.2020 we let Luke Jerram's fascinating earth installation "Gaia" float in the middle of the St. Ulrich Church. It allows us to take a closer look at our familiar planet - as otherwise only astronauts can. A 120 dpi sharp NASA image of the Earth's surface can be seen on a diameter of seven metres – just like the "Museum of the Moon", which impressed the visitors on the Peißnitzinsel in 2019.

This year, SILBERSALZ stands under the motto "Home Earth" and "Gaia" impressively shows what it is all about: the beauty and diversity of our planet. Within the framework of a diverse lecture program, renowned experts* from science, research, and economics will speak on 19 June 2020 about the state of home earth and our common future. They will provide food for thought on the possibilities of transformation with regard to biodiversity, climate change, and, of course, how to deal with pandemics such as COVID-19 and their causes - and enter into a discussion with our viewers online, as all talks will be broadcast via live stream. The Livestream in cooperation with MDR is free of charge and can be watched on the SILBERSALZ social media channels.

We are looking forward to the following speakers:
