What associations, wishes and desires does the word “freedom” trigger?
The University of Trier's project for the Science Year 2024 takes a grassroots approach to make the abstract concept of “freedom” visually tangible. 30 differently composed groups, including school classes, associations and companies, are each designing a two-metre-high tree model with their ideas about “democracy” and “freedom”.
